Birkenhead Sixth Form College appoints new student ambassadors

Birkenhead Sixth Form College is delighted to announce the appointment of a new team of Student Ambassadors for the upcoming academic year — a prestigious opportunity that recognises students who demonstrate dedication, ambition and a commitment to making a positive impact within the College community.

Each year, a select group of students are chosen to take on the role of Ambassador, acting as representatives of the College’s values, vision and community. These students are not only role models for their peers but also play an integral role in shaping student life at Birkenhead Sixth Form College.

This year, the College has introduced a new structure to the programme, with ambassadors specialising in different areas of College life. Students will take on roles as Digital Marketing Ambassadors, Events Ambassadors, and Fundraising and Enrichment Ambassadors, allowing them to gain targeted experience linked to specific career pathways and interests. From creating content for social, to supporting College events and leading fundraising initiatives, students will develop industry-relevant skills that reflect real-world professional environments.

The Student Ambassador programme is a cornerstone of the College’s extensive extra-curricular offering. It provides students with real-world leadership experience, enhancing vital skills such as public speaking, event coordination, team collaboration, and communication. From representing the College at open evenings and events to setting an example to their younger peers, ambassadors are given opportunities to lead with integrity and purpose. As part of this, they engage in reflective practice and goal-setting, helping them to grow both personally and professionally.
