Information for Employers

It is of invaluable benefit to students to have meaningful encounters with employers, particularly when aligned to their studies (curriculum). Preparation for the world of work and gaining knowledge of the employability skills that they will need is vital in helping students’ futures, and also supports academic achievement.

We have a Visiting Speakers Programme and we would be delighted if you could spare just an hour of your time to speak to our students. Please contact Jordyn Layfield at jla@bsfc.ac.uk if you would like to organise a visit.

If you have any opportunities for work experience placements or internships, please contact our Careers Leader, Jo Wood on jw@bsfc.ac.uk.

Information for Education Providers

The College hosts a range of fairs and events throughout the academic year which see providers of Higher and Further Education communicating with our students. This culminates in the end of year annual Futures Day, which is designed for every Year 12 student to attend their choice of talks from visitors along with a careers and HE fair, with more than 60 institutions joining us every year for the event.

If you would like to be involved in our Futures Day event or any other fair or ad hoc visit throughout the year, please contact our Student Engagement Officer, Jordyn Layfield at jla@bsfc.ac.uk.
