Over the course of the last 12 months, the College community has come together with incredible generosity and enthusiasm to support the Wirral branch of Maggie’s, raising an impressive £2,036 for the charity.
A variety of fundraising events have taken place, including International Women’s Day, an Easter raffle, Halloween Fest, and the much-loved Christmas Carnival. The Carnival proved to be a standout moment, raising over £1,100 alone for Maggie’s and showcasing the strong sense of community spirit across the College.
One of the highlights of the Christmas Carnival was the ice bucket challenge, which drew plenty of cheers and laughter from students and staff. In a brave show of support, Deputy Principal Rob took the plunge after successfully raising the required funds, helping to boost donations for the charity.
Maggie’s provides vital support for people living with cancer, as well as their families and friends. The charity offers free expert care, emotional support, and practical advice through its network of welcoming centres across the UK, helping people navigate the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
These fundraising efforts are just one example of the many enrichment activities the College runs throughout the year, encouraging students and staff to support meaningful causes while strengthening our sense of community. We are incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to making a real difference for Maggie’s in 2025.
