Image of Ambassador team prepares for new roles with creative teambuilding workshop

The 2025/26 BSFC Ambassador Team started their journey with energy and enthusiasm during a team building workshop led by a visiting comedy group. Held at College, the session offered the new team a fun and dynamic introduction to their year ahead, blending laughter with leadership in an engaging afternoon of activities.

Liverpool’s The Comedy Trust, known for their interactive workshops that use improvisation and humour to develop creativity, confidence and communication skills, guided the Ambassadors through a series of creative exercises. These activities were carefully designed to strengthen collaboration, enhance creative thinking, and develop leadership potential.

Students were encouraged to step out of their comfort zones as they took part in improvisation games and group challenges. The room was filled with laughter, but beneath the fun was a clear focus on teamwork and building a strong sense of community among the group.

The Student Ambassador programme is just one of the many leadership opportunities available at Birkenhead Sixth Form College, where students are encouraged to grow beyond the classroom. As part of the College’s wider extra-curricular offer, the Ambassador team plays a key role in promoting student voice, building confidence, and developing real-world skills that will benefit them long after their time at College.

This workshop provided a valuable opportunity for our Ambassadors to get to know one another and break the ice in a fun, supportive environment. With a strong foundation of teamwork, creativity, and collaboration, the Ambassador team are now ready to step into their roles this September, welcoming new students, leading tours, supporting College events, and mentoring their peers.
