Former students from Birkenhead Sixth Form College returned to their roots to share their career journeys and inspire current learners to aim high after College.
Among the alumni was Jack Sibeon, now working at international infrastructure giant AECOM, who spoke to students about his role in estate management, where he oversees and coordinates property portfolios. Jack highlighted the wide range of opportunities within the field and encouraged students to consider careers that blend technical skill with strategic thinking.
Cam Woolley, a former A level media student, returned to discuss his pathway into digital marketing, where he is now thriving as a degree apprentice at Knauf Insulation. Cam gave students insight into how creative skills can be applied in the real world and offered practical advice about gaining experience and staying curious in a fast-moving industry.
For those interested in healthcare, social care or education, Jack Fitzpatrick delivered a powerful talk on inclusion in the workplace. His session sparked thoughtful discussions about equality, representation, and the role young professionals can play in creating inclusive environments.
Rounding off the alumni panel was Kate Wells, now part of the Civil Service’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Kate shared exciting news of her first overseas posting to Serbia, offering a glimpse into life in the diplomatic service and the global possibilities that a career in government can offer.
The event left many students feeling motivated and excited about their future paths, proving once again that from Birkenhead Sixth Form College, there are no limits to where students can go.
