Teaching Staff - Part Time

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and hardworking teacher with a passion for delivering GCSE Maths at post16 level. This part-time role will involve teaching GCSE Maths and GCSE Statistics on the college’s Foundation programme, as well as supporting students who are resitting Maths alongside their A-level studies.

The GCSE courses follow the AQA specification. Our award-winning Year 0 programme provides students who narrowly missed entry requirements for Level 3 with the opportunity to develop their skills and gain the qualifications needed to progress. Each year, over 100 students enrol on the Foundation programme, all of whom continue to study GCSE Maths.

Students who have achieved a grade 3 or 4 in Maths are required to continue their study of Maths, ensuring they build the numeracy skills needed for Level 3 courses rather than experiencing a gap in their mathematical education. Many students make rapid progress during this time, significantly enhancing their future opportunities and progression pathways.

The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics and the ability to inspire and instil confidence in learners. They will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons and use evidence-informed teaching strategies to support excellent student progress and outcomes.
