College reaches full capacity for September 2026

Birkenhead Sixth Form College has reached full capacity for new students joining us in September 2026 following exceptionally high demand for places.

Applications for September 2026 entry are now closed. Any new applications submitted from this point will be added to a waiting list, and applicants will be contacted should places become available.

The high level of demand follows another busy year for the College, with large numbers of young people across Wirral and the wider Liverpool City Region choosing Birkenhead Sixth Form College for their post-16 education.

We are delighted that so many students and families have chosen the College and placed their trust in us for this important next stage of their education.

Students who have already applied should continue to follow the information and guidance they have received from the College regarding enrolment and the start of the new academic year.

For those joining the waiting list, places cannot be guaranteed. However, we will contact applicants if availability arises following enrolment.

For students who have secured their offer, congratulations – you have done exceptionally well to earn your place at one of the country’s top three sixth form colleges. With demand for places higher than ever, securing a place is something to be proud of, and we hope our new students are as excited as we are about what lies ahead.
