We seek to appoint a dedicated and outstanding teacher to deliver A Level History, following the Edexcel specification.

History is a thriving and high-performing department at Birkenhead Sixth Form College, with over 140 students studying the subject in a newly built area of the college with spacious, specialist classrooms. The course is among the top 10% nationally for student progress, reflecting the exceptional quality of teaching and learning within the department. History students achieve outstanding outcomes, with 81% progressing to university and a large proportion onto courses at Sutton Trust 30 universities, demonstrating the positive impact of the course and the wider college experience.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching History at Post-16 and the ability to inspire students to achieve ambitious goals. They will deliver highly effective, evidence-informed lessons that engage all learners and foster a love of the subject.

Salary: T1-T9 £33,465 - £51,714
