Students visited the Science Museum where they measured their personality and memory as well as finding out about the wide range of factors that affect behavior. On day two of the trip students explored London Zoo where students experienced a hypnotherapy session to build an understanding of the therapy, it even enabled some student to overcome the fear of spiders. The session was designed to make you feel relaxed in the presence of spiders through repetitive calming messages. Following hypnosis students had an opportunity to hold a tarantula to prove the therapy had worked.Emma Whitty managed to overcome her fears and said "After suffering from a spider phobia since I was very young I was incredibly proud of myself for holding a huge tarantula in my hands. I would definitely do it all again, it was an amazing experience." -Find out more about A Level Psychology here.
