Birkenhead Sixth Form College continues to break new ground in post-16 education with its comprehensive and dynamic Law programme, offering both A Level and BTEC Law courses. Designed to cater to a range of learning styles and career ambitions, these pathways provide students with an in-depth understanding of the legal system and a solid foundation for further study or employment in the legal sector.

Theory meets practice at Birkenhead Sixth Form College, where Law students regularly take part in Bar Mock Trial competitions. These simulated trials - held at the Liverpool Crown Court - allow students to argue cases in front of legal professionals, acting as barristers, witnesses, and jurors. These sessions help students build confidence, develop public speaking skills, and gain a first-hand taste of legal careers. Additionally, Law students are given the opportunity to visit Parliament and the Supreme Court as part of the recurring London trip.

The College also hosts an annual Law Careers Fair, bringing together universities, law firms, and legal professionals to offer guidance and inspiration. Students are encouraged to network, ask questions, and explore a wide range of legal career paths as part of our Visiting Speaker Programme, in which individuals from the profession, such as Magistrates, Solicitors, Barristers, and Judges, come to BSFC to speak to Law students about their area of Law and hold a Q&A session.
