Image of Student Leadership positions announced

Birkenhead Sixth Form College’s student leadership team for the upcoming year has been announced as the roles of Head Students and Deputy Head Students have been allocated.

The leadership team will act as the voice of the student body as well as taking the lead position in representing the College at events for new students. They will also be responsible for helping new students settle in to College life, both at events leading up to joining us and in September when they start as official Birkenhead Sixth Form College students.

Leading the team will be Head Students, Rafaela Brauner and Cam Woolley. Deputies are Rachael Carroll, Emily Fielding, Kawar Gulli and Josh Latham.

Rafaela joined the College from Bellerive school in Liverpool and takes A Levels in Business, Law and Spanish.

She said: “I’m most looking forward to helping new students who join us and being able to show them that there’s so much to look forward to. It’s a big step joining the College and you grow up so much from the independence and the way you’re treated as an adult.”

Cam is formerly of Calday Grammar and studies Business, English and Media at A Level.

Cam said: “I can’t wait to work at the Open Evenings and other events where I get to talk to new students and their parents about just how great the College is. I’m really happy with my decision to join the College and have become a different person since being here. I want to show other people that they can do the same.”

The whole Student Ambassador team follow the rest of the student body by coming from a full range of high schools, and the leadership team are no different, with Josh joining us from Whitby County High School, Emily from Neston, Kawar from Bebington High Sports College and Rachael, like Rafaela coming from Bellerive.

Any students needing some peer-to-peer support, advice or any help should look out for any one of these six student leaders as they are there for any needs outside of staff requirements, and will be happy to assist.

All six have shown themselves to represent the College values outstandingly and have strong characters to represent the College and its students.
