Discovering more about Astrophysics at Jodrell Bank

Physics teacher, Richard Newby, explained:

The Physics students' visit to Jodrell Bank coincided with us finishing the astrophysics and cosmology part of the A Level course and gave the students the chance to see how the concepts we have studied in class apply to real world astrophysics research. For example, we had a workshop in which Jodrell Bank staff helped the students use some of the skills we have been developing to analyse some real data from one of their telescopes. There were also interactive exhibitions which helped bring to life some of the concepts which we have studied and a planetarium show.
