Students were able to explore the wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities available at The Sixth Form College this term at the College’s annual Enrichment Fair.

Representatives were on hand to talk about the many options available to students outside of their academic studies, including the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, Volunteering Opportunities – both local and abroad, First Aid & Food Safety Qualifications, the National Citizens Serivce (NCS), plus a variety of Sporting Opportunities including Taekwon-do, Clubs – such as the Debating Club and various groups and teams.

Information was also available on the College’s partnership with iGo Driving School which offers students at the college reduced rate driving lessons, the opportunity to take lessons arranged around their timetables and to study towards their theory test in sessions led by a qualified driving instructor at the College. Wirral Travel Solutions also attended the Enrichment Fair to offer students free monthly travel passes – giving out more than 100 Trio passes at the event.

The Enrichment Opportunities are part of the overall support package on offer to students at The Sixth Form College. Enrichment Officer, Rowena Lovatt says, “The opportunities available give students the chance to develop useful skills, pursue an active interest or discover a brand new one. Taking on activities outside of the college curriculum is also a great way to strengthen your CV or Personal Statement as it allows you to stand out from the competition whether you are applying for a place at University, an Apprenticeship or for a position of employment.”
