Image of Graduation Ceremony 2014

The Class of 2014 joined us with their family and friends at The Floral Pavilion’s Blue Lounge in New Brighton on Wednesday 10th September, to celebrate their achievements and officially graduate from The Sixth Form College.

The Graduation Ceremony recognised the hard work and dedication our former students have achieved - which has led to the College seeing record breaking results for the 8th Consecutive year, making the Class of 2014 one of our most successful years so far.

Principal Kathryn Podmore, welcomed graduates and guests to the Ceremony with an inspirational message to our Class of 2014 to ensure they continue to make a difference and make all of their actions – no matter how small – count. Special guest speaker, Catherine Jones, Academic Secretary at the University of Liverpool, also delivered a reassuring speech to talk of the exciting times that lie ahead for our former students as they make the transition from College to University and/or Employment. Head Governor, Lynn Eaton thanked our students for their dedication and to the staff at The Sixth Form College for the efforts they made in ensuring our students achieved their full potential. New Head Student, Tom McNally, closed proceedings by delivering a vote of thanks to all involved in the ceremony.

Graduates were presented with honorary scrolls by Deputy Principal, Mike Kilbride, and a number of students were awarded prizes for achievement and subject honours – see below for full list of awards.

Thanks goes out to all of the staff and students involved for their help and support in making the evening a success.

Most importantly, we would like to congratulate our Graduates once again for their success and wish each and every one of the Class of 2014 all the best for the future.
