Thursday 24th June 2021 | 2pm – 8pm
Following the announcements from the government yesterday, we are extremely disappointed to advise you that our Open House event for applicants on Thursday 24th June 2021 has been cancelled.
The decision has been made for the safety of all of our visitors and staff given the national and local circumstances surrounding COVID-19 as the health of everyone involved is paramount.
The cancellation of the event will come as a disappointment to many of our students starting with us in September and their parents, as we fully recognise that opportunities to visit the College in person have been limited over this past year. We will, however, over the course of the next few months, keep in touch and share with you further details about what makes the College the most popular sixth form in the region.
We appreciate that many of you will have had lots of questions ready to ask our teachers or were planning to find out more about what the College offers. We would still love to hear your questions and invite you to submit any queries to us by visiting:
Our Vice Principal will be reviewing all questions and we look forward to helping you with any and all of these.
Registration Day appointments
The good news is that our Registration Days for new students on 28th, 29th and 30th June will still go ahead, so students with an offer will be able to come to the College to collect their lanyards, have an introduction to College life, receive their College email and IT login details and meet teachers and fellow new students.
These hour long appointments can continue to operate as numbers on site at any one time are manageable and safe, and the systems and processes involved were proven to be successful at the same event in 2020, with our applicants experiencing the College first-hand across three days and nine separate sessions in a Covid secure environment. Students will be in groups of ten and social distancing will be observed.
If students have not yet booked a place on our Registration Days, they can do so by following this link:
Finally, our Principal, Mike Kilbride, has recorded a short video message to explain the situation further:
