Flying High for High Achievers

If you achieve excellent GCSE results, we will invite you to join our Flying High programme.  This aims to meet the particular needs of students with strong academic ability, who may ultimately be considering applying to the most competitive universities.

As a Flying High student you will join a tutor group with other high-achievers, led by a personal tutor who will offer expert guidance throughout your time at the College, and whose specialist knowledge will help you to plan the important transition to higher education.

The programme provides a wide variety of challenging and exciting opportunities, intended to ensure that you develop your intellectual potential and that your time with us is both stimulating and thoroughly enjoyable.

  • Visits to Universities (for lectures, residential courses and open days)
  • Cultural excursions
  • Working with younger Gifted & Talented pupils
  • Preparation for Oxford & Cambridge University applications
  • Activities organised in conjunction with the Sutton Trust
  • Courses at Villiers Park aimed at Gifted & Talented students

As well as encouraging students to suggest and organise their own activities we also encourage participation in the Extended Project qualification.
