Birkenhead Sixth Form College are proud to have joined with Liverpool University to offer the Year 0 Foundation To Health Studies Programme - a pre-degree course that leads directly to a variety of vocational Health Studies programmes at the University.
Completing the Year 0 programme to a specified standard will ensure automatic progression onto a degree programme at the University of Liverpool in one of the following areas:
Nursing
Diagnostic Radiography*
Occupational Therapy*
Orthoptics*
Physiotherapy*
Radiotherapy*
(*collectively known as Allied Health Professions)
There is no upper age limit to entry; the programme is targeted at mature students with appropriate workplace experience, or young people with a vocational, rather than A Level, qualification.
The year 0 programme provides an excellent opportunity to adjust back in to full-time study and bridge the gap between your vocational experiences and the degree programme. Click here read Liz Webb's story. Liz began the Year 0 programme at 48 years old and is now studying Occupational Therapy at the University of Liverpool.
